Thank you for your interest
in my Personal Chef Services. I've been asked quite often
how I made the decision to work in the food industry. I learned
at a very young age that food is a celebration. It is a means
to bring people together for almost any reason.
My interest in the art of
food started in my early 20's. I began to try new restaurants
and menu items I had never heard of, which, at that point,
was just about everything. I developed the curiosity to try
to duplicate the dishes I really enjoyed. This evolved into
attempting to improve on them to exceed my original experience.
Upon entering culinary school I quickly realized that though
I had developed a great deal of skill on my own, more formal
training was the key to adding that final element that would
elevate my food preparation to the level of "fine dining."
With over ten years now
in the culinary field I have found that my interests lay in
providing private food services focused on the best of fresh
ingredients served in one's home or small rented venue. This
type of setting allows me to customize the menu selection
and services to a client's specific needs. There is nothing
more gratifying for me than observing a group of people tasting
something I've prepared and seeing the look of enjoyment that
follows.
